As you probably know, the art of Bonsai originated in China. It came to Japan from China at a date lost to time. The term "bonsai",freely translated means "a tree in a pot",and it not only refers to the dwarf plant but the art of creating that plant too.To put it in an artists' words:
"Bonsai is the art of capturing the essence of tree in nature, bringing nature closer to our daily lives and appreciating what nature offers for our enjoyment."
